Well, we call them auditions, but they're not so scary really! Our “auditions” consist of us all meeting and reading the proposed script. We like to stay informal and give everyone a chance to read all the parts they could be suitable for. Then, the nominated director for that production, will cast the play based on what we have shown during these readings. We have a lot of fun, talking in different voices and getting lots of different ideas on the script. Then, once we've made some sensible decisions, it's time to get up and start rehearsing! If what you are interested in is getting stuck in backstage then you too have come to the right place! There is always loads to do, building the set, making props, operating the lighting and sound. We are happy to teach a willing student or take ideas from a technical veteran!
We welcome people to the group at any stage of the production cycle and encourage newcomers to read in during rehearsals for missing cast members.

Come on, although it's only one night a week initially this can increase to 2 or 3 times as we near performance week. So go on, give it a go and put some drama in you life!
